Itinerary description
Really difficult but worth it.
For the hikers who love to see panoramas all the time while going up - not the best idea. The hiking is more through the coffee gardens and jungle.
The track is quite steep, so when hiking up - there’s a need to rest each +100 m, and when going down -you will really “feel” your legs!
One stupid thing about this track is that is charged (like everything here in Guatemala if you’re a gringo). (100Q or 10 € per person).
Better start hiking as early as possible: you won’t sunbath then and more possible that you will have a clear view down to the lake. It is usually no clouds in the morning and afternoon they start to hug the summit.
We were a bit too late but still - it was great hike and we spent one hour up there waiting for the panorama and finally we saw a bit!
