Itinerary description
Three days gorgeous tour across the Rila mountain ridge! Day 1 started from Hiza Predel, hiked 7 different peaks (Kapatnik, Skačkovec, Rusalia, Ravnik, Ezernik, German and Malk Mechi vrh) and reached Hiza Macedonia, my resting place for that day. In total did 30km with 2300m gained elevation on ascending! Second day started from there, across the 10 peaks (Golyam Mechi vrh, Angelov vrh, Aladza Slap, Cherna Polyana, Pavlev vrh, Kanarata, Skalec, Vapa, Lopatiski vrh, and Kovač) and arrived at Hiza Grnčar in the evening hours. Around 28km with almost 2000m gained elevation, another great hiking day! On the third day I tried to reach the valley of Beli Iskar village by trespassing through the Beli Iskar dam, and I did it. But I do not recommend it to anyone as the Beli Iskar dam is a protected area closed for visitors. I was lucky enough not to have any consequences. :)
