Hospice de france Luchon..Port Venasque..Soum de L,escalette
Good walk with great view a bit of a climb but worth the effort.
start at the parking Hospice de France trail is marked and easy to follow..
zig zags up each side of the valley crossing small water each time..you reach the Refuge de venasque , with the boums lacs ..changing colour all the time..trail heads south on the left side up towards the col..some small shale at times but ok..Port Venasque with views down valley and Aneto opposite..crossing the col decend down and take the trail to the left..climbs up to Picada..and then continue along ridge ,,passing Lunfern and then tuc escaleta..trail returns down to the hospice following ridge for a while and then valley .
