Itinerary description
One of most spectacular hiking route in Iceland that should only be done under guidance of experts glacier guides. Great hike in great weather and conditions. We manage to climb Hátindur, Miðtindur and Vesturtindur but Suðurtindur was not safe to hike. Bit of snowmelt when going back to base. Almost 18 hours hike with great view but difficult one. Elevation gained was 2200 metres according to Garmin GPS 64S but this track is from my phone using Endomondo app.
