Itinerary description
Wow, what a view along the Mirador Canyon. Views not to be missed but also available in other location in and around Chachapoyas, but not like this. The trail close to either end is easy to follow and can be completed by anyone. The middle is more challenging because of the vegetation on the trail and uncertainty of the trail. Here are also multiple paths generally in the same direction at different heights along the canyon edge. You can see by the number of backtracks that I was uncertain in places and wrong in some.
If you want a great view without any hiking challenges, take a collectivo from Chachapoyas to either end and enjoy the view. I spent 20 sol for a taxi. If you have long paints, a long sleeve shirt for when the vegetation is thick or the wind is chilly and some patience, the hike from one point to the other is well worth it. If you follow my trail please not where I backtracked and paused while figuring out where to go and forgot to restart for a couple of minutes.
If you like he pictures of the view, you will love the hike.
Once at Cerca Huayco, I waited for a collectivo for about fifteen minutes and then started walking toward Huancas. A taxi that dropped someone off took me back to Chachapoyas for 20 Sol. Next time I would probably start at Cera Huayco which makes it mainly a modest downhill hike and leaves me almost in Huancas where catching a ride or collectivo is probably easier.

Corner of field - read description.
I came up from the left looking back the way I came from. It was narrower and scarier than I would have liked. I suspect the trail going straight is easier and better.

I came over walk
It was thick up to the wall. Downhill from my path may be something better.

Warning
Where the trail ends, I paused the recording and backtracked to the beginning of the field and only resumed the recording here. If you are not on a well defined easy to pass trail in this area you are off the trail.
