Itinerary description
Follow the N-120 from Ibeas towards Burgos. Resist the Camino signs indicating left turns until you arrive in Castañares(@4 miles). Cross over at the pedestrian walkway and follow the side street past a lovely cafe El Descanso. Continue to the left and past the sports field and over a bridge to the river walk. Follow the path by the river until you come to the statue of Diego Porcelos. Take the next footbridge and go straight to the Arch of San Juan. Here you pick up the main Camino route through town.
