Itinerary description

This walk is half coastal and half through an inland forest. Especially the coastal part is beautiful, but all in all I am not sure if I would walk it again. Also because the A8 highway is never far away. I tried to follow tracks of others on wikiloc, but I sometimes had to choose other options, which led to quite a lot of roadwalk (in total you'll walk 4,5 kms on asphalt).

I left the coastal tracks here. Some people walk on further. It seems to change all the time where you can walk and when you come across fences or would have to walk on private land.

From here you have to walk alongside the N-634

Some people seem to cross this river, but that is hardly possible without swim gear with high tide. I chose to walk back to the road.

This is where the asphalt ends. You will follow the Camino de Santiago for a short bit.

The inland path is mostly like this. Not unpleasant, but almost without views.

This is actually the first moment you get a panoramic view at the coastline

Shortly after the viewpoint you are back on asphalt again. This road (with good views) goes all the way downhill until you are back in Buelna
