Israel - Northern Galilee: 2-8 day circular route from zimmer to zimmer

This circular route includes many of the highlights of the northern upper Galilee. Many shortcuts are available - allowing to tailor the speed and length to any walking level (2-8 days total). This multi-day trek is based on staying at zimmers and kibutz rooms, enabling easy walking with very light day packs and no camping equipment.

Season: Spring is best (Mar and Apr); Summer is hot (May to Sep); Fall is OK (Oct and Nov); Winter is cool and rainy (Dec to Feb).
Average costs: 300 NIS per couple per night for the cheapest accommodation and 200 NIS per couple day per for food.
Transport: very limited and infrequent - best to rely as little as possible on public transport.
Sleep: Each village will usually have a couple of places to sleep in the low price range. Best to book in advance via Airbnb, Booking.com or just directly by looking up zimmer phone numbers on Google.
Eat: Few villages have grocery stores. Stock ahead some light provisions to carry with you, or rely on food deliveries as mentioned below for each place.

A typical itinerary:
Day 1 - from Avdon to Abirim via Nahal Kziv (13km). Food delivery in Abirim: Dana 054-7548655.
Day 2 - from Abirim to Hurfeish via upper Nahal Kziv (12km). Many food options, including Sambusak Ha'arazim: 04-9972276
Day 3 - from Hurfeish to Tzivon via Nahal Neriya (9km). Food delivery to Tzivon from Hurfeish (Hadya and Munib Bader 050-9858553) or from Jish (Baladna 054-4696610).
Day 4 - from Tzivon to Yiron or Baram or Dovev via nahal Tzivon and Dishon (10-12km)
Day 5 - to Matat via Baram ancient synagogue, Sasa (Buza ice cream! Grocery store for locals only), Paar cave and Adir mountain (10-12km). Vegetarian food delivery in Matat: Tamar and Shay 052-4207484.
Day 6 - from Matat to Goren via upper nahal Sarakh (13km). Several pizza deliveries in nearby places, or from Shlomi: Grilled meat in Ferna bread 050-7421096.
Day 7 - from Goren to Hanita or Rosh hanikra village via Sarakh-Betzet and Keshet cave (12-17km)
Day 8 - back to Avdon via Achziv coast reserve (12-18km)
