Itxogana (1.062 m)

<<< English follows >>> Salimos de Erentxun hacia la izquierda, por un corto tramo de carretera. Enseguida giramos a la izquierda por una pista que nos lleva al bosque. Es un bosque de hayas, robles y acebos. Todo está cubierto de hojas. El día está fresco y azul. Subimos hasta llegar al puerto de Azaceta, para lo que tenemos que salir 50 metros a la carretera. Alcanzamos la cumbre de Itxogana (1.062 m) y hacemos un corto vuelo con el dron. La cima tiene un hito geodésico y una cruz de hierro. Ya en la bajada, pasamos por la ermita de san Víctor (san Bittor), con una zona preciosa con mesas y barbacoas para picnic. Tiene un aspecto estupendo aunque hay que subir bastante hasta llegar a él. Lo malo de esta ruta son los últimos 2.6 km, que son una pista sin ningún interés que va paralela a la antigua vía del tren Vasco-Navarro. En resumen, una ruta sencilla y entretenida, salvo el final. <<< English >>> We left Erentxun to the left, for a short stretch of road. Then we turn left on a track that leads to the forest. It is a forest of beech, oak and holly. Everything is covered with leaves. The day is cool and blue. We climb until we reach the high of Azaceta, after walking 50 meters of the road. We reach the summit of Itxogana (1.062 m) and make a short flight with the drone. The top has a geodesic landmark and an iron cross. Once on the descent, we passed by the hermitage of San Víctor (San Bittor), with a beautiful area with tables and barbecues for picnics. It looks great although you have to climb up quite a bit until you reach it. The bad thing about this route is the last 2.6 km, which is a track with no interest that goes parallel to the old Vasco-Navarro train route. In short, a simple and entertaining route, except the end.
