Itinerary description
This is a loop trail, at Jabal Moussa Reserve in Keserwan,Lebanon.
The depart trail takes the Baydar el shawk trail towards Qornet el Mzaar till reaching the Yahchouch Cross. The return trail takes the road to the old houses, the well and back to Baydar el Shawk.
I recommend to try this hike during autumn days, where you will enjoy the amazing scenery that includes several beautiful trees.
Park your car at the Ehmez entrance of the reserve parking spot. A 10,000L.L. entry fee is required as a fee for the preservation and maintenance of the reserve. The trail was recently provided with new colored signs on rocks, as an addition to the present poles and signs that were already installed.
Take the 2nd and 3rd trails towards Qornet el Mzaar. The trail starts with the natural stairs up for around 1km.
At the checkpoint take the right trail towards Qornet el Mzaar. The road is moderate and straight.
Before continuing the way towards the cross, you can take a detour and go up to reach Qornet el Mzaar, with the amazing panoramic view.
Once you come back down, you will continue the way back to the cross. The road is a mix of different and interchanging landscapes. At the cross you can have a break, sit down ans enjoy the scenery of the village of Yahchouch.
The way back is towards the old houses as shown on the signs. This is mostly an uphill trail until reaching "el Masbek well".
The way back will then coincide with the depart road at the Hyrox Rock point, and then back to Baydar el Shawk and the natural stairs down to reach the final destination.

One of my favorite trails. Started off a bit difficult going uphill, but afterwards it was all magical. The houses were super cool and the whole trail was intriguing.
