Itinerary description
We started this walk in Jálon but you could also start it from the little vilage of LLiber, with its beautiful old centre.
After traversing the village of LLiber you will circle the Muntanyeta and after passing teh Depuradora the climb starts. It is a gradual and easy climb with lots of views along a nice track, the PR CV 53.5, marked yellow/white.
The first hill top you pass is the Penya del fred (360m) and after reaching the Pla de L'Avenc with its ruins the next climb starts and goes to the next top the Penyes Blanques that you pass underneath, reaching a col. From there we took the track signposted Castell D'Aixa, a beautiful track that goes to the next col.
From there it is an 80 metres climb to the Castle D'Aixa, of which hardly anything remains, along a slightly more challenging track. From the top you will have a beautiful all around view.
The descent along the other side of the Tossal Gran (580m) is nicely shaded as it goes for the greatest part through wooded area.
