Itinerary description
i always have mixed feelings for the area extending from jered el laqlouq to jered douma, although very remote and full of nice formations, it is hard to walk on because it is bumpy and u can get lost especially in case of foggy weather.
we parked in tartej and started the walk up on an agricultural road then we went a bit down to catch the LMT douma side trail that we took all the way up to the top of the mountain (reaching the top u can continue on it and it leads down to baatara gorge then back to douma on the side of the mountain), the weather was really foggy so we missed most of the panoramic views of the area however walking between all those rock formations in the fog give the trail a special charm.
reaching the top we left the LMT trail and started the walk off trail on top of the mountain, this part is bumpy and requires some climbing skills and some skills to find your way especially in a foggy weather.
the way back was along another mountain pass using a shepherd path that is not clear yet for this year ( the shepherd didnt come to the area yet this year) but still u can figure it out.
nice trail only if u are experienced and like the adventure
