Itinerary description

A beautiful hike, but the unfortunate part is that the final 3.5km are on the road which therefore makes this part obsolete. But the first 10.5km are really fantastic and very varied.
The hike begins at Hotel Convento de Aracena and winds through the town to the San Roque Chapel. Here, walk past the small roundabout and through the underpass of the ring road. Go over the roundabout and walk 300m along the road to Carboneras. Once you branch right onto the hike, the first 4km are a mixture of riverside, huertas and dehesa. Very beautiful, shady and enjoyable. The following 4km are through Mediterranean forest that has a mix of jara and eucalyptus. Theres even a load of man-made beehives. The final 2km are untouched Mediterranean forest until reaching the small road that then turns right up to Corteconpecion. This is where the nice hike finishes and you have 4km uphill on the roadside.
