Itinerary description
I did this hike back to front. So I will describe it from Aracena to Corteconcepcion.
From the hotel convento de Aracena walk to the San Roque chapel, under the ring road and at the roundabout on the far side, take the service road on the right hand side that begins to climb. From here it quickly becomes a wide and very easy to walk pathway that continues like this for at least 3.5km. Branch left onto a large dirt track and enjoy the views of the reservoir to the left. Begin to drop down, through pig farms and a few houses. The path narrows and begins to drop more steeply. Slightly uneven and possibly slippery when wet. Eventually arrive at a post with a crossroads of signs, straight ahead to the plaza and to walk through the town, or right to walk a further around the town and enter on the side of Puerto Gil.
