Itinerary description
Tour starts with a ride on the cable car from Ovronnaz to Jorasse Station. From there follow the marked route down. Soon you have to traverse a slab of rock but there are ropes, it's no big deal. After a first longer ascent you reach a plateau with a shack. Amazing views from there. After another ascent you reach a 2nd plateau and even better view. We've see a herd of 30+ Alpine ibex just before the plateau. They caused some falling rocks, so be careful. The last ascent to the SAC Rambert hut is pretty steep but you'll have earned your lunch. The way back to Ovronnaz is via a different route. The sign at Rambert says 1:30 to Loutze but it's longer. You'll cross some scree fields which slows you down. From Loutze to Ovronnaz it's another 1h.
