Itinerary description
This is a really nice, beautiful and exciting trail where you can also find loads and loads of oyster shell fossils. It is amazing how much there are.
The map says that those fossils came out of the water when Cyprus was forming, which most probably represents that this point was the highest point of Cyprus at that time and that that hill, or mountain probably 2 - 3 one hundred thousand years ago came out first from the water and then the rest of Cyprus. The fossils are amazing, so is the whole trail itself.
Nearly at the very end of the trail, there is a CAUTION notice board because there is a shooting school nearby, so the is a risk of injury as it says there. About in the middle of the trail there is a small hill with a Greek flag on top of it and there is also a bench where you can have a rest. But it is usually quite windy there, so be careful that your hat doesn't fly away.
There are a few parts where there can be puddles and mud after the rain, so be careful about that as well, so it is better to wear proper hiking shoes.
ENJOY YOUR HIKE!!!🐱
