Itinerary description
It’s a small loop trail that starts from Kärdla beach and goes to Kärdla Factory Square. One cannot access the seafront with a wheelchair, but the views are still beautiful. Kärdla beach park is located next to the restaurant called Rannapaargu. There is a playground and an adventure trail for kids and a swing.
The trail is an asphalt road that takes one to Kärdla Factory Square, which is one of the most important historical sites in Kärdla. In 1830, the barons Ungern-Sternberg established a broad cloth factory in Kärdla. Nowadays the Kärdla museum is located on the factory square.
There is no marked trail, but one can easily follow the asphalt road from the beach to the factory square. No marked parking spot for persons with disabilities, but there is enough space to get out of the car. The surface is asphalt. There are some holes in the asphalt one has to be aware of.
