Kouroukoulou gorge

We arrive morning at patsopoulos village with plans to go down by the brotherhood gorge of kouroukoulou, patsopoulos and to come up by kouroukoulou gorge. A nice shepherd guy say to us,no! no! patsopoulos is very densely! so we change plans and we are made some mistakes with trail. We move to agalianos setllement to find the path going in the gorge but we dont find. Then we continue down by the dirt road to the cliff above gorge and sea.From thear very carefully, because is abrutly enough, down to the sea and by the sea to the beach.After we are understand that there is not necessary to make the round ,from 1.67km of the route there is passage to the beach and without fences.Anyway, all that part of trail is abrutly,from both sides.Need a lot of attention. Beach unfortunely is not like at end of mauroyianni gorge ,is full of stones and dangerus waves even with calm weather. The gorge now, is wilder than mauroyianni which is just 500m east. Taller sides and much humidity for place in this dry area.Many greens and origane, thyme and sage. In some points small cliffs ,there is path by side.Somewhere in the midlle there is a car! small yellow truck! Our exit from gorge also is mistake, just 200m after is easier side to go out than our one. Despite mistakes we are enjoy kouroukoulos a lot.
Epilogue: Our trail is not the best for the gorge,is better backward or to find the path from agalianos to gorge(which is very close to asphalt road,at start of road go to agalianos) and return from dirt road not as we do, but from beach and olive trees east south up,with out to make the round.
Gorge basicly it s easy, is dificult part at the abrutly sides by the sea,that s all.
Acess to Patsopoulos from Ag. Nikolaos the same as Mauroyianni gorge plus 3km after Skinias. From Heraklion, at Neapolis to Kourounes ,Nofalias, Dilakkos, Finokalias.
