Itinerary description
This track shows a single route to mountaintop Mulhacén at a beautifull summer day with lots of sun. I parked the car near the church in La Cebadilla, an abandoned village and then followed the river to the power station. Then first walked to the refugio Poqueira for a cup of coffee. Then followed the route and took the steep access to the top (kind of strenuous part).
If you want to return to starting point it is possible in one day. You can do a loop if you want. I did return the same way back and arrived at the starting point after 11 hours. I took different rest stops along the streams and enjoyed the beautiful scenery.
