Itinerary description

Circular route on good tracks, starts with a small up hill climb, opens onto a pretty track which is good underfoot. Pass by an old abandoned black car. Good views over to Otivar & Lentigi. Track then leads onto a fire break for a while, still have nice views snd you can made out what my friend John calls the two boobies. Leave the firebreak & follow a nice path off to the left, which leads you down through spectacular countryside to the Barranco Del Doctor. After this it’s onto a tarmac road leading past small dwellings, there’s not much traffic to worry about. Finally to get back to the start there is a rather horrendous uphill climb up a windy road. It’s a pure slog to get up there with some very sharp bends so pace yourself to make it to the top.
Note: we did this hike in Feb with pleasant temperatures of around 16C. Beware if you hike later in the Spring or Summer when it’s hotter as there isn’t much shade along the route!
