Itinerary description
ACTIVITY 1: STATISTICS:
Go to the offices of the shipping line and answer the questions.
ACTIVITY 2:FISHING TECNIQUES:
Take a picture and explain different fishing tecniques used by people in La Graciosa: nasas, nets, hooks…
ACTIVITY 3: NAUTICAL TERMS
Look for a street with the name that your teacher is going to give you. Take a picture of the street and explain the meaning of the nautical term in Spanish.
ACTIVITY 4: INTERVIEW.
Interview an old person from la Graciosa and ask him about his/her life 40 or 50 years ago:
- What was his/her parent´s job?
- How many stores did La Graciosa have?
- Where did the drinking water come from?
- Did they have any electricity?
- Was there a school in la Graciosa?
- How did you go to Lanzarote?
WAYPOINT 2: MUSEO CHINIJO
ACTIVITY 5.
A) Take a picture of the fin of a whale hanging in the wall of the museum.
B) Find the panel talking about the Orchilla. Where does it come from? Why was it so important?
C) Name some curiosities about whales and dolphins.
D)Take a picture of the skeleton of a whale hanging on the ceiling of the museum. Count how many vertebrae has the backbone.
E) Make a list of some properties of aloe vera plant
WAYPOINT 3: SILVIA´S HOUSE.
ACTIVITY 6: Find silvia´s house, read the article and answer the questions about the article. Take a picture of it and check out the two faces drawn in the front of the building.
WAYPOINT 4: LIGHTHOUSE
ACTIVITY 7: Go to the lighthouse shown in the map. You will have to calculate the height of the lighthouse using the Thale´s Theorem and a measuring tape.
WAYPOINTS 5-15:
ACTIVITY 8: CREATING YOUR OWN ROUTE IN WIKILOC.
You will have to create a route in wikiloc with at least 15 waypoints, including the points in Caleta de Sebo. You will have to take your own pictures and add some comments.
ACTIVITY 9: STUDY AN ECOSYSTEM
You will have to study an ecosystem in La graciosa.
Your study must include:
- Pictures of the place.
- Biotic and abiotic components.
- Choose an specie and explain its habitat and its ecological niche.
- Interactions between different animals and plants (asociations and relations)
- Drawing of a trophic pyramid.
ACTIVITY 10: FUNCTION OF LIVING BEEINGS
Choose two animals and two plants and write the following information:
- Name of the specie
- Kindom
- Characteristics of its nutrition, relation and reproduction.
