Itinerary description
El año pasado volvimos desilusionados de nuestra visita a Fuente de Piedra por haber muy pocos flamencos rosas y los que estuvieron, muy lejos de las orillas. Este año, al contrario, había muchos flamencos y muy cerca de los observatorios. También vimos una cantidad de pajeros diferentes. Hicimos una ruta de unos 7 km por la orilla en un día muy agradable y soleado, y todo el tiempo apreciando los preciosos flamencos. La empresa Descubre Guias del Sur, organizó esta Ruta de observación de aves, y con los guías José Manuel, Carmen, Pedro y Alex. Aprendimos mucho sobre los aves y sus custumbres, y lo hemos pasado muy bien con el grupo. Vale la pena hacer una visita al Centro Interpretativo donde nos enseñaron una película sobre La Laguna y su visita estrella.
Last year we returned disillusioned from Fuente de Piedra because there were only a handful of Pink Flamingos and those that were there, very far from the shore. This year, in contrast, there were plenty of flamingos and they were very close to the observatories. We also saw many other different birds. We did a walk of about 7 km around the shore on a very nice sunny day, all the time within sight of the beautiful birds. This bird watching outing was organised by Descubre Guias del Sur, and the guides were José Manuel, Carmen, Pedro and Alex. We learned a lot about the flamingos and their habits, and we had a great time with the group. It is worth while making time to visit the Interpretive Centre where they showed a film about the Lagoon and its star visitor.
