Itinerary description
A very nice circular walks leaving from one of the prettiest small towns in the Subbetica, Carcabuey. A good mix of views and vegetation along the way. The trail is clearly signed as you go, with wooden marker posts for "Sendero La Luca".
Stop off after at the cute little Cafeteria La Oca on the main square, for a well-earned coffee and cake or ice cream!
Once recharged, wander around the town's pretty backstreets or hike up the steps (leading up from the square) to the ruined castle and Ermita del Castillo chapel.
