Itinerary description
Very nice and moderate climb on the peak La Mostayal near Oviedo. You can park the car in the small village of La Vara either at the playground or in some other spots up north in the village. First passage is along a road claiming decently but steadily in higher up to a mountain pasture “Vega de Bobies”. Then you walk up the alp to the north until a saddle. Turning north west you will walk up through rocks to the peak. Last part of the trail is a bite more adventurous with a bit of climbing and bigger steps. Until then the trail is moderate and fun to walk and even without reaching the top you have great views of Oviedo, the sea and the Peacos de Europe in the far distance.
