Itinerary description

Possibly one of the most varied circular walks on the island. It starts in the domesticated landscape of El Palmar then proceeds through pine forests to the farmed landscapes around San Antonio. Thereafter, almost as far as Don Pedro, it proceeds through magnificent temperate rain forest. After Don Pedro the Landscape becomes progressively drier untill it consists of Cadalabra cactus and masses of asphodels. All on well marked paths. Some steep ascents and descents and a longer walk than the stats suggest. A good level of fitness required. Food and drink in the park at San Antonio - well priced, good quality and substantial meals (check opening days).
