Itinerary description

A truly varied walk from the pine forests of Roque del Faro through every imaginable island habitat to almost sea level via Don Pedro, then through the tiny hamlet of El Tablado and onto Franceses. The route crosses the Barrancos Fugundo and Los Hombres, probably the most spectacular in the north of La Palma and not to be missed. Due to a lack of daylight I had to finish the walk on the small road up to Franceses, but there is a well marked footpath you can use. A highly recommend trail, but only for the fit and those happy with some very steep and slightly vertiginous decents. Rated as difficult due to its length and the decent from Don Pedro.
