Itinerary description
Another delightful walk to Llano Negro on the western half of the RPLP9.3 walking route. For a longer walk it can be combined with the Eastern half back to Santo Domingo. Or you can take the bus and do the other half another day. The walk starts by descending to the port of Santo Domingos through spectacular succulents then ascends almost non stop through the domestic landscape of Cueva de Agua then through pine forests before entering the verdant area around Llano Negra. Almost the entire route is on footpath or track. It is well signposted throughout.
