Itinerary description

This walk starts and finishes at the Los Escullos Campsite. It starts by following easy paths to the pretty village of La Isleta del Moro and continues by easy paths for a further two kilometres. It then follows a steep stony path ascending the mountain for about another two kilometres. This part of the walk is very beautiful. The remainder of the walk to the Golf Ball on top of Cerro Penones is on good tracks and the descent is by a very steep but decent track which is provided for official vehicular access to the various communications installations on the top of the mountain. Return to the Campsite at Los Escullos for a well earned ice cream!
