La Trocha – Rió Pereilas Circular
This walk starts from the outside car park adjacent La Trocha shopping centre, on the outskirts of Coin.
Going down Camino La Trocha and arriving at an intersection with seven turnoffs, take the 3rd one on your left Camino Llano Campó (more or less straight ahead).
You pass lots of small holdings and fincas. The path down to the river is gently downhill, eventually arriving at the river Pereilas. This is the only part of the walk that has some shade provided by eucalyptus trees.
Arriving at some stables you turn left passing more small farms and fincas. There are a few right and left turns to bring you back to La Trocha.
You get really good views of the Guadalhorce valley, from Torrecilla all the way to El Torcal. This is also a good route for bird spotting.
In places it is a noisy route due to the numerous dogs that greet you at the gates of the fincas.
I wouldn’t bring dogs on this route in case some of these dogs have escaped or are out of their enclosures, and some look like they can’t be trusted in my opinion.
Finish the walk at bar La Trocha, which has a good atmosphere and really good service.
