At sign by hospital follow surfaced rd

Follow sign to Port de rius

20m later and straight after hospital trail becomes footpath with flowers and insects everywhere

5min later at trail junction gosyraivht ahead. Follow red white paint soashes

After five more min trail hits an old dirt track that a 4x4 could drive. Turn right wnw and follow

After 200m turns back to footpath and cross this stream

After 45 min u reach a small plateau carpeted in flowers. Look behind for views of snow dusted peaks

Soon 1/12hrs crest a rise and view back down to Rd where u parked far below. Continue up.

This is junction straight to etang reason. Go right on gr11 on main trail (east) and catty in up. Easy juction to miss!

After 4,2k from start and around 2100m u climb above tree line into rocky dessicated landscapewhere Alpine species start appearing

At the pass first lake comes into view just ahead in rocky bowl

At far end of first lake the gr 11 goes straight ahead east to the Refugi Dera restanca. Instead take sign marked too estanh de Mar which is right on minor track around far East end of lake. Sign had fallen.

Minor trail but clear and many Cairns leads through rocky terrain to east and south side of first lake
