Route that crosses the mysterious Lac Pavín and climbs to the top of the Puy de Montchal, the volcano that originated this lake "Maar" by a violent explosion on its slope.
This lake is a curiosity because there are two superimposed lakes: one of acidic waters of 30 m depth, and another layer on top of this one of 60 m of fresh water (details in See more)
Once at the top we start the descent on the opposite side, going down to the dry bottom of the crater and following the foothills of the Puy de Montchal until we take again the path that circles the lake, and return to the starting point.
