Itinerary description

Cottonwood forest, tidal marshes, fields, and sand dunes along the banks of the Fraser River. Ocean-going ships might pass up close. The Deas Island trail system connects to the Millenium Trail heading towards Ladner and the Captain's Cove Marina. On Deas Island bicycles are only allowed on the main roads, whereas the trails are pedestrian-horse. Milllenium Trail is bicycle-pedestrian-horse.

American Bald Eagles abundant and vocal, Great Blue Herons also plentiful at this time of year. Two pubs along route, one on the Millenium Trail near the highway underpass, one at Captain's Cove Marina at trail terminus.
