Itinerary description
Mountain route (17km ish) close to Bergen with very nice views starting from Ulriken.
I took the bus number 12 from Sandvikstoreg to Sollien Nord. You’ll see there’s is an option to get on a cable car if you prefer but I’ve done the ascent on foot to Ulriken 643m, there is about 500m of unevenness and most of it by stairs. Upstairs you’ll find a gazebo and a restaurant.
From here I headed to the real peak of Ulriken and from there along a well-marked path with impressive views (lakes, mountains, fjord, Bergen and to the south a glacier could be seen) I walked towards Fløyen passing through several points (peaks) with tremendous milestones of stones, leaving the city of Bergen and the Svartediket lake on our left.
Further on we go down to an area between a lake and the Tarlebøvatnet dam and then I turned right instead of going to Fløyen since I was staying at Sandvinken ;) from there is very easy to get back down to the city by foot or taking a cable car from Fløyen.
