Itinerary description
Although this walk is relatively short, there is so much variety and beauty in the landscape that it seems to be a much longer one.
No human artist could create what nature has laid out here. Immense beauty, in spite of the N122.
The beginning of the walk along the pleasing volcanic landscape is breathtaking and after the climb, finding yourself in the little village of Niervèze, sitting at one of the picknick tables enjoying the quiet of the hamlet and the beautiful view you have still no inkling of what greatness is to come.
Passing the only mill left in this area the track goes to the next hamlet, Lafon, and then disappears into the woods to pass through an unbelievable wilderness of stones, moss and trees, the Chaos of Casteltinette. At the end of which you will humbly have to go through La Porte de Lion.
From here a wonderful track will take you back to Lagoutte, the starting point of the walk.

Ruta molt bonica, de dificultat moderada. Ens ha agradat molt fer-la.
IMPORTANT:
Per aparcar el cotxe ja no es pot a la font, però seguint la aposta amunt, davant d'una segona font a mà dreta, després de passar la via del tren, hi ha un bon aparcament a l'ombra. És al camí de tornada.
Very beautiful route, of moderate difficulty. We really enjoyed making it.
IMPORTANT:
You can't park your car at the fountain, but following the bet up, in front of a second fountain on the right, after passing the train track, there is a good parking lot in the shade. It's on the back way.
