Itinerary description
A one-day acclimatization trail around Huaraz. Takes roughly an hour to get there, around 3 hours to get to the laguna and roughly 2-3 hours back to the parking area.
Transportation can be arranged in your hostel in Huaraz or with any local collectivos. We took a taxi at around 6am for s/.40, however collectivos would be substantially cheaper if travelling alone.
Not a difficult trek, however elevation gain is fairly substantial, thus move slowly. Trek is easy to follow.
Take water or/and means of purification.
No guides are required if you have basic hiking experience.
We decided to walk back to the town, however this is not necessary and a number of collectivos are available at the start of the trail.
