Itinerary description
We took a cab from Chalten to Rio Electrico, where this hiking begins on a really flat terrain.
After crossing the bridge the path gains some elevation until Glaciar Piedras Blancas.
We kept going on a flat terrain until Poincenot, getting closer to the real challenge. From Poincenot to the top we took 1,5 hour, and it was a pretty steep hike.
Up there, climb to the small hill on your left to an excelent view to Laguna Sucia and Laguna de Los Tres.
After coming down to Poincenot we took 5 km on an easy flat terrain until Laguna Capri, and then it begins going down until reaching the city.
It was a good way to not repeat the path, but after Poincenot we walked back to the city with Fitz Roy behind us.
I think it must be better doing the reverse way if you hire someone to pick you up at Rio Electrico.
