Itinerary description
This route across the volcanic badlands avoids the steep climbs onto the volcano rims. It follows wide paths and tracks, many of which are used by buggies and cars, apart from one point where I drop down a narrow path for a short way for a change of terrain.
Alight at Lajares football ground, 2nd stop in the village on the hourly Linea 08 bus from Corralejo, or 1st stop on the 10.15 Directo bus.
Towards the end of the walk it is not necessary to follow the longer route into Correlejo shown on signposts near the Tres Islas development and in the brochure 'Huellas De Leyenda' from the tourist information office. My route goes more directly towards the centre of the main street. If you want the bus station in Corralejo take a direct route to the main road and walk along it to the left, rather than turning right above the school to descend to the main road as I do.
