Itinerary description
We followed Walk 10 of the excellent book Alem Lisboa/Beyond Lisbon which contains a number of easy walking trails mainly in the Sintra/Arrabida area.
The first section is very steep (especially at the beginning which even has handrails to help you), so you could start from the carpark on the main road which leads to the Praia de Alpertuche. The path is easy to follow all the way.
It took us 1hr 15mins from the start to the Farol restaurant on the Portinho da Arrabida beach (for an excellent lunch!) and then 50 mins the shorter route back to the start.

Olá boa tarde, queria ir com um grupo de estudantes fazer esse percurso, mas como disse que no início o trajeto a descer do convento em direção ao Portinho, em direção a Lapa é muito íngreme fiquei com um pé atrás. Essa parte do trajeto é muito complicada? Agradeço desde já a sua atenção
Possivelmente. Mas como é o início da caminhada é fácil decidir se vai ou não. Você pode escolher começar no estacionamento na estrada principal (se tiver transporte). Não é aconselhável com mau tempo, certamente. Espero que ajude.
Perhaps. But as it is the very start of the walk it's easy to decide to do it or not. You can chose to start from the carpark on the main road instead (if you have transport). Not advisable in bad weather, certainly. Hope that helps.
