🇪🇸 🇺🇸 | Vía Ferrata Las Agujas de Las Alhambras (K4) – Aproximación Larga/Ruta Circular | Las Alhambras (Teruel)

🇪🇸 Español: Ruta circular de unos 9km pasando por la vía ferrata de las Agujas de las Alhambras (K4), en la localidad de las Alhambras (Teruel).

Desde Valencia, las Alhambras se encuentran a unos 115km, por la autopista dirección Teruel. Aparcamos por un lado de la carretera, cerca de las Masías de los Marqueses, donde encontramos un espacio amplio para dejar el coche. En este mismo punto hay un cartel que nos indica la ruta de las Agujas de las Alhambras.

Es una mezcla de ruta de senderismo y vía ferrata. La vía ferrata se puede saltar y seguir por el sendero. Se llegará al mismo punto.

- La ruta de senderismo -

Se trata de una ruta circular de unos 9km. Hay varios tramos donde la senda no está trazada, tramos con mucha vegetación y zarzas y otros tramos con pedrera. No es una ruta muy fácil en sí y puede ser algo peligrosa en ciertos puntos. Aconsejamos seguir el track para evitar perderse o dar vueltas. Nosotros subimos hasta la brecha de las crestas y bordeamos las crestas para llegar hasta la vía ferrata. En vez de subir hasta la brecha, se puede seguir recto por el barranco y llegar directamente a la vía ferrata. Puede ser una opción más corta ya que nosotros tuvimos que bajar por una pedrera y dar una pequeña vuelta para llegar.

- La vía ferrata de las Agujas de las Alhambras (K4) -

La vía ferrata es corta y está catalogada K4. Gran parte de la vía ferrata se hace únicamente con cable de vida y escasos peldaños subiendo por una cresta. No aconsejamos esta vía ferrata a los que no tienen algo de técnica y conocimientos de escalada. Sin embargo, es una vía ferrata muy bonita, con un entorno precioso y muy aconsejable para los amantes de este deporte. Para bajar la vía ferrata, tenemos la opción de un rápel (20m) y bajar por peldaños. Hay tres otras reuniones a lo largo de la via ferrata para asegurar a los compañeros o bajar en rápel si fuese necesario. Para ello, prever una cuerda más larga (no sabremos decir cuántos metros exactamente).


Esta ruta circular por la Agujas de las Alhambras pasando por la vía ferrata es muy bonita y las vistas desde las crestas son impresionantes. Sin embargo no es una ruta fácil. Hay que tener en cuenta que hay tramos con vegetación, pedrera y pocos trazados. No aconsejamos hacer esta ruta durante las horas soleadas de verano ya que hay muy poca sombra.

From Valencia, the Alhambras are about 115km away, via the highway towards Teruel. We parked on the side of the road, near the Masías de los Marqueses, where we found a large space to leave the car. At this same point there is a sign indicating the route of the Agujas de las Alhambras.

It is a combination of hiking route and via ferrata. The via ferrata can be avoided and you can follow the path. You will arrive at the same point.

- The hiking route -

There are several sections where the path is not marked, sections with lots of brush and thorns and other sections with rocks. It is not an easy route in itself and can be dangerous at certain points. We advise you to follow our track to avoid getting lost or going round and round. We climbed up to the gap of the ridges and skirted the ridges to reach the via ferrata. Instead of climbing up to the gap, you can continue straight through the ravine and go directly to the via ferrata. This may be a shorter option.

- The via ferrata of the Agujas de las Alhambras (K4) -

The via ferrata is short and is classified as K4 due to its lack of steps. Most of the via ferrata is done only with a lifeline. We do not recommend this via ferrata to those who do not have climbing knowledge and techniques. However, it is a very beautiful via ferrata, with a beautiful environment and highly recommended for lovers of this sport. To descend the via ferrata, we have the option of an abseil (20m) and down steps. There are three other belay stations along the via ferrata to rappel down if necessary. To do this, provide a longer rope (we can't say exactly how many meters).


This circular route along the Agujas de las Alhambras through the via ferrata is very beautiful and the views from the ridges are impressive. However, it is not an easy route. It must be taken into account that there are stretches with vegetation, stony ground and few trails. We do not recommend doing this route during the sunny hours of summer as there is very little shade.
