Itinerary description

This was one of the best walks we did in Tenerife because there are some great views and yet we only saw 1 other person in 4 hours. It starts at Las Lajas picnic area where there is plenty of parking. I think this trail ours no longer officially maintained, but the trail was clear and easy to follow. We followed the trail anticlockwise, although I would recommend doing this clockwise. That's because there is a trail leaving the picnic area that we missed on our way back (we didn't know it was there) - because of that we had to walk on the road for about 500m. Whilst walking on the road we could see the trail below us almost all of the time, which would have been much nicer. Also, for us some of the descent was quite steep and a bit difficult under foot - I kept thinking 'this would be a lot easier going up'. Still, it was a really nice walk.
