Itinerary description

A daily bus from Costa Adeje to the Teide National Park passes the start point. There is some parking close to the start of this trail, but this route is one-way. The trail starts through well spaced pines on a gently slope on an easy to follow dirt path to a spectacular viewpoint towards Teide, the center of the Island and the islands of La Gomera and El Hierro. El Sombrero is very close to this viewpoint and the track to its top is easy to follow, but not part of this route. A gentle decent initially on a well defined track towards the TF-21 is followed by a well defined track and paths towards Vilaflor de Chasna with intermittent great views. I classified the route as moderate mainly on the basis of its distance.
