Las Lomas de Tres Leguas
This circular walk starts on the outskirts of Estación de Cártama.
Approaching the first main roundabout and passing the Iron bridge (Puente de Hierro), do a sharp left turn to the parking area.
The route starts along Camino Río, and then goes under a small tunnel, going along a small slip on your right where you turn left onto the A7054, where there is a nice pavement until you pick up the road Arroyo los Morenos. This is a minor road which eventually goes onto a dirt road parallel to Arroyo de los Galones.
Turn left going uphill on a farmland track until you crossover Arroyo del Canito, where you turn right going through fields and farmlands into Nueva Aljaima where you have a small stretch on the A7054 again before turning right. Eventually you come to a closed gate with the red and white GR markings on it. Keep the gate closed and g through these farms which goes through a bamboo section. I took a small detour to see the Guadalhorce river. The walk then follows the Guadalhorce river until you pass the picnic area adjacent to the car park and start of the walk, with the Iron bridge in front of you.
This is a good countryside walk with lots of views but very little shade. There were a few roads on this route but it wasn’t a problem.
