Itinerary description
A fairly strenuous ascent from the TF38 to the 1798 eruption site Las Narices del Teide (the Nostrils of Teide). I parked on the TF38 near the start of a vehicle track, which soon arrived at Sendero 9 which I then followed to Las Narices. It is possible to park at the Las Narices Mirador but this will add at least two kilometres to the distance. On the ascent, I took a wrong turn, this is the loop in the middle of the route. I would recommend ascending by my descent route here (the higher path) as the uphill route I took at this point was very rough and sometimes the path was not discernable.
