Las Negras – Cala del Cuervo
Las Negras is a small fishing village in the Cabo de Gata-Níjar national park. It is a 25 minute drive from San José. You pass a Mirador on your right – Mirador de la Amatista which is well worth a look with great coastal views.
From las Negras I took the road to the cove Cala del Cuervo which was a pleasant hike. There is a restaurant adjacent the beach called La Caleta.
Back in Playa de las Negras we had a lovely lunch at the Chiringuito Las Barcas. Afterwards I wondered through the back streets before heading back to the parking area.
The beach was mainly volcanic stones and gravel, with many boats moored up on the sand.
Las Negras has a good selection of bars and restaurants. It is also a good spot for hiking and subaqua.
