Itinerary description
A lovely energetic 12km hike starting at the Lawnton rd small carpark of Mt Glorious. The first 3 kms or so is downhill on a dirt road, but overhead are beautiful towering rainforest trees and along the way you will probably hear pockets of Bellbird chatting away. Afterwards the road relentlessly goes uphill and is windy, but keep going until you reach the water tank and crossroads. If is clear here, you will get a good view down behind the water tank. From this point, make a left turn and follow the road up to the camping sign on the left and then to the beautiful remote Northbrook mtn campsite for a well earn't rest and views down towards Wivenhoe Dam.
From here, you can take the track to the right of the campsite (uphill sometimes), up to the rocky outcrop of Northbrook mtn with it's 360 degree views. Return via the way you came, but you may want to have a few rests in doing this as there are a couple of hills.
