Itinerary description
Le Tour du Mont Blanc over a period of 11 days. This is the route that I did which mostly follows the official path or its variants with a couple of small exceptions intended to make the route a little more interesting. Each day can be viewed at the links which I'll include below.
The route is physically challenging due to the 12,000 metres of ascent but there is nothing very technically challenging, with the exception of two parts (which could be avoided if desired):
The first part is La Fenêtre d'Arpettaz which is a steep climb followed by a steep descent, the final 200 metres of each side crossing a moraine (debris field left by a receding glacier) of large boulders.
The second part is the is the descent from Mont Brevent to Les Houches which is not very difficult but does have some steep sections where you're aided by chains and metal or wooden steps.
