Itinerary description
This walk offers stunning views of the Sierra Nevada to the north-east, and as beautifull to the south and west. Most of the track is on rocky country roads. After leaving the road, the track is good, going round south and west. Later to the west the track narrows, the vegetation about 1m high with thornes. Wear long trousers here! The path is well marked, all the way round. The last part of the track is on a very vertical part of the mountain. Track very narrow and over grown here, but the views still stunning. After a tuff climb we reach the road again, and hurry down in the last sunlight. Temperature is falling quickly now, and I conclude that it was way too late to start this walk at 13:00.

We went the walk yesterday in nice weather. Two thirds of the trip is very easy. The last third around the mouintain is a bit more demanding. It is recommended to have your legs protected from prickly growths.
Some of the narrow passages being destroyed by motocross machines that should not be here.

Did the walk on 31 January 2020 and wish we'd heeded the warning about long trousers as we ended up with rather bloody scratched legs. Views were awesome but rather misty towards the coast. The first part of the pack horse trail after leaving the track had recently been cleared of vegetation but this meant there was lots of dead gorse on the trail which caused problems for our dog meaning several stops to pull spikes out of her pads - poor thing!
