Itinerary description
Leopard Canyon-Qadaah Village Loop Hike.
Danab
Wadi Qadaah Danab Village to Leopard Canyon to Qadaah village Loop.
The Start point of the Trail is in a Offroad area, so preferably an AWD / 4WD or at least a Strong Sedan with clearance is preferred.
From the Asphalt road, it is about 8-9 Kms of Offroading, so it is better to go with suitable car.

The Hike starts from Danab Village. Please make sure you do not block the road or any property. While walking through the village, be silent and discreet.
The residents do not like noisy and inquisitive visitors.
We hiked through the Boulders to the Leopard Canyon Hanging garden.
From there you hike up through Loose Rocks and steep slope to reach a Large dry waterfall and go further up to see one of the beautiful polished flat Rocks of the Wadi.
The scenery is Scenic here.
You finally reach a vertical wall but with a passsage at the right hand side, which can be climbed up with basic climbing skills.
A short rope can be beneficial.
Tall persons need to climb up first to assist others, its not too technical but needs care and diligence.
You hike further and get out of the Wadi and at one point you take a Right to reach the mountain top and further you will see the village named Qadaah.
This village is a good spot for a break and you can view most of the high mountains from here.
You can see Yanas, Qadaah and Tafif mountains from this point.
At the end of the village, there is a steep down Donkey trail that leads you down to the Wadi that connects you to the Parking place at Danab village.
When you take the Donkey trail, you can actually see your cars.
Take care while climbing down and be sure footed in the Wadi, Boulders and Loose Rocks. Hiking poles will be beneficial.
Carry enough water, minimum 4 Liters and Energy snacks and of course Shade protection.
This Hike was enduring due to various factors.

Would this hike be suitable with a dog?

There is a vertical wall that needs to be climbed using some stone steps, pulling and pushing.
Please refer pictures 31, 32 and 33.
If you think your dog can manage, then fine.
But the whole trail is going to be stressful to the dog.
Thank you. We made it as far as the hanging gardens and then turned back. I would say that if someone is hiking with a dog this is a good point to reach and then turn back from. And also if you do bring your dog beware that there are many goats so either have your dog leashed or uninterested in goats 😛. Thanks Patrick for the hike. Your awesome

There is some Scrambling at a short vertical wall, you may need to climb bare hand.
Tall mate will be beneficial.
Loose terrain at places, good balancing and shoes needed.
No exposed ledges.
Need to navigate the trail well and adjust your path as per your preferences
