Itinerary description
We started early in the morning, at around 6: 20. The trail is steep from the very beginning. The first few hundred meters of the trail goes on the old military road, then it takes right toward the Maja e Berizhdolit side. The forest is left behind, leaving place for pastures of grass and bilberries. In a while, we reach Qafa e Berizhdolit where on one side is seen the Lepusha Valley, while on the other side is some part of Nikc Valley. Descending a few hundred meters before climbing up to the Jama Pass. From here one can see the sheepfold down under. Getting down to the sheepfold we then continue up until reaching a plateau surrounded by mountains. Here one must rest a lot before starting the climb up the Langoi pass. Ascending is almost 80% steep. There at the Langoi pass the view is stuning, the eyesight reaches as far as Jezerca Peak, and Theth National Park. The hardest part is descending the pass down to the Shtraza valley or the valley of Vuthaj, almost 700 meters of descent. Then we take RIGHT and pass over two small passes and the Peja lake before reaching the Peja Pass where Theth park can be seen. Then another tiring descent toward Theth and that's it.
DO NOT FORGET TO GET PLENTY OF WATER (3-4 LITERS). EVEN IN THE SUMMER MONTHS, THE WEATHER IN THIS AREA CAN CHANGE FROM HOUR TO HOUR.

Is the trail clearly marked?
No. You can download my trail and use a gps to guide you. The easiest part is the one of Balkan Peaks trail coming from Vusane to Theth. It is better to have a guide with you. Check this group on FB maybe they repeat it this September Alpine Guide Albania is the name of the group.
