Itinerary description
Trail up and around the valley ..departing from the village of Les.
the trail is part of the GR211 and named the 211.2 a loop that cover the two villages.
Leaving from the parking at centre of Les..follow the side of river next to camper van parking area. arrive at the roundabout on the N230. cross the road and find sign post at edge of the restaurant. take the track up behind..track is of granite and steep at times..this winds up to an few old buildings..here the path is a little lost , but take left at the building and follow the cairns for a few mtrs ..arrive at a signpost for the GR and a clearing..
Now take right on the large flat track and this leads to a great view point and rest arear with tables , that looks over the valley towards Les..follow small path over some rocks and you descend into Forrest path ..Bausen is seen across the tree line..
Arrive at Bausen and take the small steep path with steps in the middle ..at top a small bar for rest and drink..good views. Take left when leaving the bar and trail winds up steeply above village on open plains before descending again the other side into the woods .
The trail is well used and is under good shade from the sun..Cross stream and wood bridge , climb some more and come to the return point , where you then descend down , again cross stream and wood bridge..soon the N230 can be seen below . The trail soon arrives back at Bausen..follow down steps behind the church ..then past a few houses and this then small steep path leading down to the RN road..cross the road and follow the footpath along the valley floor , at an old farm take left path past another farm and arrive back at Les..this time from the other side of the river.
